BISTU and Beijing Huiwen Middle School Signed Agreement to Establish Premium Student Pool
Beijing, 11th January 2024 (BISTU)— Aiming at replenishing premium student pools, enhancing quality of candidates, deepening the internal connections between BISTU and related high schools, and exploring new patters of talent cultivation in the New Era, BISTU and Beijing Huiwen Middle School held an inauguration ceremony on 11th January 2024 for establishing the BISTU- Beijing Huiwen Middle School “Premium Student Pool” at the School. The Inauguration ceremony was attended by President Guo Fu, Deputy Secretary Wang Wenjie of CPC BISTU Committee as well as Beijing Huiwen Middle School administrators including President Guo Jie, Vice President of Teaching Li Hongyan, Vice President of Curricula Management Shang Baoshan, and Executive President Chen Xiaoling of Beijing Huiwen Experimental School.
President Guo Fu offered an introduction to BISTU in respect of its historical development with revolutionary spirit, the reasonably-constructed pattern for academic disciplines and academic programs for building a high level university of applied learning, five academic research areas of strengths promoting educational quality, breakthroughs in school-running spaces laying a solid foundation for high quality development, and consistent efforts in serving national and municipal development. He expressed that Beijing Huiwen Middle School was one of the earliest schools operating on the principle of holistic education and has nurtured a large number of outstanding talents for our nation, reflecting her readiness to shoulder responsibility of the New Era. President Guo Fu commented that all alumni of Beijing Huiwen Middle School have been empowered by the sense of responsibility in “elevating one’s qualities and endeavoring to benefit the world”. Premium student pools would better ensure the number and quality of university candidates and enhance universities’ reputation in an effective, long-lasting manner. Seizing the opportunity of working together with Beijing Huiwen Middle School, BISTU would constantly strengthen the communication and exchanges with the School to explore education for all-around development and to nurture high-quality innovative talents of applied learning. Together we will write a new chapter for the educational cause of our Party in the New Era, Guo Fu said.
On behalf of Beijing Huiwen Middle School, Guo Jie extended thanks to President Guo Fu as an outstanding alumnus for resource coordination for the School. Following his introduction to the School in respect of history, school-running principles, educational achievements, etc., he explained educational features, outstanding alumni, and development plan of the School. He commented that BISTU has a long history, distinctive features and elevating strengths in education. Becoming a premium student pool of BISTU was the recognition of Beijing Huiwen Middle School’s efforts. And it was also an important move of the School in implementing the “run-through” education model. The School would constantly deepen reform in education, improve education quality, nurture more premium candidates for BISTU, and cultivate more innovative talents of applied learning for our society. It was hoped that cooperation between the two institutions, starting from the inauguration of the student pool, would go further to a new high.
Wang Wenjie signed the agreement on establishing the student pool on behalf of BISTU and presented plaques respectively to Beijing Huiwen Middle School and Beijing Huiwen Experimental School.
Ties with Beijing Huiwen Middle School would be strengthened following the agreement signing to build a quality platform for screening and nurturing premium candidates for BISTU.
BISTU promo video was shown on the meeting. Accompanied by administrators of the School, Guo Fu and Wang Wenjie were showed around school history exhibition and the campus.
The inauguration was also attended by Director Wang Lei of Admissions and Career Consultation Office, faculties and staff of the Office, and Director Hu Chi of Teaching and Research Office of Beijing Huiwen Middle School.
